Inside Nepal's Revolution
NOVEMBER 2005
|
Since 1996 Nepal's Maoists, insurgents who follow the teachings of Chinese Chairman Mao Zedong, have been engaged in a bloody conflict with the Nepali government. Their demands? Redistribute land, extend power centers into rural areas, eliminate the caste system, give equal rights to women, and institute a communist republic.
